China's Soft Power Expansion Project in Africa through Industrialisation

The Chinese government has started supporting manufacturing companies’ operation in Africa. The Chinese government believes its own experience based on industrialisation can serve as a useful model for many African countries. This can be seen in line with the expansion of China’s soft power in the continent. However, it is still questionable whether Chinese companies will create worthwhile jobs in host countries. The importance of people-to-people relationships through the creation of decent jobs, training, and abiding by local regulations should be noted; these are the main pillars of soft power.
