Goodman Gwasira is an alumnus of the Culture and Environment in Africa (CEA) study programme at the University of Cologne. He is also an alumnus of the University of Namibia and the University of Cape Town.

He worked as a curator of archaeology at the National Museum of Namibia before joining the University of Namibia. Currently he is a senior lecturer and coordinator of Archaeology and Heritage Studies in the Department of History at the University of Namibia.

Goodman is a PhD Candidate in the History Department at the University of the Western Cape, in South Africa. His research focuses on the History of Archaeology in Namibia. It investigates the history of archaeological practice in Namibia as a source of scientific information. It interrogates how such information has been validated, transmitted and used throughout in the context of deep and multiple colonialisms that Namibia experienced.
