Workshop
12 May 2026 I 14:00 - 17:00 (CEST)
Co-producing Knowledge and South-South Relations
The transdisciplinary research area „Co-producing knowledge & South-South Relations“ is based on the recognition that a thorough understanding of global inequalities, cultural dynamics and societal transformations in the Global Souths can only be reached by creating new formats of collaborative research, and by imagining alternative epistemic orders and the systematic inclusion of diverse perspectives and epistemologies into the research process. The research area is a merger of two previous thematic areas at the GSSC, which worked on related topics: South-South Relations: Engaging with New Constellations and Dynamics in the Global Souths and Co-producing Knowledge. In this workshop, existing members and other interested participants based at the University of Cologne, are invited to discuss common interests and to develop future activities for this research area.
