Education and professional career
Dr. Beilei Rao earned her degree in German Language and Literature from Tongji University and completed her doctorate at the University of Hamburg. She is an Assistant Professor at Tongji University. Her research focuses on world literature, Sino-German comparative literature, and 20th-century German literature. Her monograph, Vom chinesischen klassischen Yuan Zaju zum deutschen Drama bei Klabund und Brecht, was published in 2022. She has published multiple papers in academic journals and newspapers and currently leads two provincial and ministerial-level research projects.
