The current debate on the construction of walls and the function of the idea of the Wall, has renovated the analysis on languages and representations of exile and diaspora. Is the multiplication of walls a new form of extreme violence? From early Modern times walls define the nation and the state, but in the 30's a new reading, favored by archeological ethnology, looks to read the broken monuments of pre-Columbus civilizations not as documents of the past but as new syllables of the future. Is the critique of walls a theory on transience and the 'precariat'?
